University–Enterprise Collaboration Fuels Growth; On-site Study Tours Broaden Horizons — Faculty and Students from the School of Arts at Nantong University Visit Our Company for a Tour and Research Session
May 20,2026
To deepen industry–education integration, build bridges for university–enterprise communication, and help students bridge theory with practice while gaining a firsthand understanding of the industry, on May 20, a delegation from the School of Arts at Nantong University visited DeKang Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Nantong City to conduct an immersive corporate study‑and‑practice activity.
At the outset of the visit, company officials extended a warm welcome to the faculty and students from the School of Arts at Nantong University. They provided a detailed overview of the company’s origins, its evolution, core strengths, and principal business lines, systematically outlining its strategic roadmap in areas such as materials research and development, product manufacturing, and market applications. This enabled the visitors to gain a comprehensive and clear initial understanding of the company’s overall trajectory, its operating philosophy, and its position within the industry.
Subsequently, accompanied throughout by General Manager Gu Kecheng and guided by his detailed explanations, the faculty–student team ventured into the company’s production workshops to conduct an on-site tour of its state-of-the-art assembly lines. They observed firsthand the manufacturing processes, processing techniques, and quality‑control systems for products such as jute‑based new materials, eco‑friendly panels, and soft‑layer composites, gaining a clear understanding of the entire production chain—from raw‑material preparation and process engineering to finished‑product output—and experiencing up close the standardized, precision‑driven production model of modern manufacturing.
Following the tour, the faculty and students proceeded to the company’s product exhibition hall. The showroom showcased an extensive array of product samples, cutting-edge R&D achievements, real-world application cases, and technological demonstrations, comprehensively highlighting the environmental friendliness, breathability, durability, and other material advantages of the company’s core products, as well as their state-of-the-art technological features. This allowed the students to experience firsthand the innovative appeal and market‑driving value of jute‑based products.
At the conclusion of the event, representatives from both the university and the enterprise engaged in a face-to-face Q&A session. In response to students’ questions on industry trends, material applications, product design innovation, and other related topics, the staff provided thorough, item-by-item explanations grounded in their industry expertise and the company’s practical experience, helping students bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world industry practice, broaden their professional horizons, and gain a clearer understanding of the sector’s development trajectory.
This visit and research tour has established a robust platform for communication and collaboration between the university and the enterprise. It has enabled students to step beyond the classroom and engage directly with industry, thereby enhancing their practical understanding of their fields, while also deepening mutual understanding between the two parties. Moving forward, our company will continue to strengthen university–enterprise partnerships, actively promote the integration of industry and education and the synergy between academia and industry, and inject new momentum into talent development and innovative industrial growth.
