School–Enterprise Collaboration Empowers Innovation in Industry–Education Integration — The signing ceremony for the school–enterprise cooperation between Nantong Dekang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. and the School of Arts at Nantong University was successfully held.

On the morning of April 30, 2026, Nantong Dekang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. and the School of Arts at Nantong University held a grand signing ceremony for their industry–university cooperation at the Dekang Product Design Innovation Center of the School of Arts. With the theme “Industry–University Collaboration Empowers Innovative Integration of Education and Industry,” the event marked a solid step forward in deepening their joint efforts in research, education, and industrial application, ushering in a new chapter of resource sharing, complementary strengths, and collaborative development between the two institutions.
At the event, leaders from both the university and the enterprise, corporate representatives, and faculty and student delegates jointly witnessed this significant moment. At the outset of the ceremony, the host introduced the background of this collaboration and the distinguished guests in attendance, then officially declared the proceedings open. Zhang Wei, Dean of the School of Arts at Nantong University, and Jin Jianming, Chairman of Dekang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., each delivered remarks, outlining the vision and development plan for this university–enterprise partnership.
The college leadership stated that this collaboration represents a significant step toward deepening the integration of industry and education and fostering seamless alignment between the education and industrial chains. They expressed their anticipation that, leveraging the Dekang Product Design Innovation Center as a platform, they will establish an integrated hub for teaching and research, hands-on training, and design‑driven R&D, thereby providing robust support for students’ practical innovation and faculty members’ research translation. Meanwhile, a representative from Dekang New Materials emphasized that the company will draw on the university’s talent pool and research strengths to drive product‑design innovation and upgrading, while also supporting the college’s development through initiatives such as donating funds for the renovation of specialized classrooms, thus achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for both the institution and the enterprise.
Following the address, the two parties formally signed a framework agreement on industry–university–research collaboration, exchanged copies of the document, and posed for a commemorative photo. A corporate donation ceremony then took place, during which Dekang New Materials completed the renovation and furnishing of a specialized classroom; representatives from the college took to the stage to express their gratitude. At the ceremony, Nantong University’s School of Arts officially appointed Mr. Jin Jianming of Dekang New Materials as an adjunct professor and presented him with his appointment letter. In addition, Mr. Jin Jianming was appointed Director of the Dekang Product Design Innovation Center, with Du Wei serving as Executive Director, and Kang Kai, Song Yang, and Wang Shaochen designated as researchers. Appointment letters were also conferred upon the members of the innovation center’s team, establishing an organizational framework to underpin future collaboration.
At the conclusion of the event, representatives from both the university and the enterprise delivered closing remarks, outlining their vision for future collaboration and the center’s development plan. They emphasized that, using the innovation center as a platform, they would engage in in-depth cooperation across product design and R&D, joint talent cultivation, and the commercialization of research outcomes, thereby facilitating the practical application of more innovative achievements. The ceremony concluded successfully with a group photo.
This signing of the university–enterprise cooperation agreement not only represents a significant step in DeKang New Materials’ exploration of a collaborative innovation model integrating industry, academia, and research, but also serves as a vivid demonstration of the company’s commitment to giving back to education and supporting local talent development.
